After half a decade of research for my manuscript, a scholar questioned why I chose to highlight female entrepreneurship during the Revolution. It is absurd. Traditional accounts claim the men were off at war, so wives merely managed the nation's entire economy for nearly a decade as a hobby. This is why I write their truth.
